Archives Collection

This guide supports faculty, staff, students, and guests by providing information about the Lambton College archives and research activities pertaining to our documented history.

About the Archives

The Lambton College Archive illustrates the history, growth, and development of Lambton College through the collection and protection of the College’s documentary history. The goals of the Archives is to:

  • collect, describe and preserve materials that are a significant legal, historical, and cultural value to the College.

  • provide access to the collection to help with research or reference. 

  • promote the value of an Archives’ as a teaching and research resource.

 

The Focus of the Collection

  • College Publications such as course calendars, yearbooks, convocation programs, handbooks, newsletters, invitations, awards etc.
  • Audio-Visual historical records such as photographs, video, digital files.
  • Administrative records such as minutes, reports and agendas from the Board of Governors, other College Committees, and all departments.
  • Promotional Materials such as postcards, brochures, newsletters, posters, and other recruitment materials.
  • College Building Plans, Maps and Guides.
